Hey guys
Im trying to run a BTR 4 speed on the back of my 302 running straight gas. Here where my problems is. I've wired in half the auto computer to the Auto trans, tps, 12v power and earth.(a few wires i dont have a clue about) I'm no wiring genius! So I've gone for a drive and it seems to suffer from a lot of slip and dont want to lock the torque converter from the feeling. Ive got the Tps wired up, the round plug to auto wired up, earth and power. Does the auto need a engine speed? and which pin would this go to on auto computer? whats needed to run it correctly so i can finally enjoy driving it? auto, auto computer and engine is from a NC LTD(if anyone one needs to know) heres a few pic's Attachment: Attachment: Attachment: Attachment: File comment: These are unknow wires except Yellow/black and black/green wires which is 12v and earth IMG_1196 (Small).JPG [ 61.6 KiB | Viewed 418 times ] these wires are the ones that i dont know except the black with green trace which is earth and the yellow with black trace which is powered from ecu relay. Attachment: wiring diag ive been working from.

i was looking at a similar thing recently. it looks like the engine speed signal comes from the coil negative terminal. i'll have another look tomorrow and come back to you.

from my info, the engine speed comes from the coil negative. is it slipping, or just in limp home and stuck in 3rd ?
