Hey guys i have a 96 EF II Ghia that was on gas but was removed as it was going to be my project car but have since decided to boost my ute instead so am putting it back on gas to use as a daily. It was fitted with a Parnell system using a gas ring. I have a Impco converter and 225 mixer in the shed and am looking at fitting this instead of the gas ring. I'm just wondering what will have to be changed and if the Parnell computer will work with the Impco system. Also is the stepper motor plumbed into the gas line to the throttle body in the Parnell system needed with the Impco system? As well as the hoses on the Impco converter and mixer connections i'm unsure of. Here's a few pics below that will hopefully help..
Picture of the Parnell computer The Parnell converter and gas ring Parnell again.. Do i need the stepper motor with the Impco setup to regulate the gas flow?? Impco converter 225 Mixer Not sure what this is used for any guidance much appreciated (Electronic PCV) One hose goes to mixer and other back to converter.. Second hose from PCV conecting to converter with other end missing hose. Does this plumb into the spare barb on the PCV plumbing? Any help/guidance much appreciated Cheers Darcy |

Lots of things will not work. The Parnell computer will not control the Impco set up. You also should not be playing on the high pressure side of gas. My best suggestion is get it fitted that way it can be be fitted so as to meet the relevant emission requirements. You will also need a fuel controller that will work with a negative feed system. Regards TPVM.
