I need help on what to do as I've just gone to reconnect my gearbox and motor up before I put them in the car. I have bought a new spigot bearing as I knew the old one was stuffed cause it fell out in bits when I separated the two. I've only just realized however that the outer race is still stuck nice and firm in my crankshaft and doesn't want to go anywhere
So I need help on how to get this thing out any help would be awesome |

a small slide hammer, work it around, you should be able to get the hook easily on the inner rim of the old case. just work it gently, you should be able to walk it out pretty easy.

The old trick with the spigot bearing is to pack behind them with grease and then using a bolt of the same diameter as the centre hole, then hammer the bolt in. Pressure forces the bearing out.
The fact that yours has fallen to bit means this method might not work, unless you can get something round that's about the same size as the new opening, if not I'd be trying a slide hammer as suggested.

Problem solved I couldn't use either of these methods as the outer race was all that was left as the bearing was destroyed and fell out when i pulled the motoer and gearbox apart due to a dodgy installation of the box when i let a shop replace my clutch. The race was jammed in a recess so I couldn't get behind it. Thanks for your help and quick responses any way.
