hey guys... ive been thinking about buying a new remote key for my EF Futura.. the one i got with the car is stuffed and missing most of the circuits inside of it... so i was wondering would i be able to program the new remote to my car with out the old one? to my understanding you need the old remote to program the new one???

any advice will be great!

you don't need the old one. you just turn key to on, hit the boot button twice. locks will cycle, then hit button on remote, turn key off, and locks will cycle again.

You might have a better chance programming the remote using the rear demist button.

From memory have the key in the acc position. Then you have push the rear demist button 3 times within 5 seconds. The door locks will cycle 2 times to tell you the smartlock system is in learn mode. push door button on your keypad and it should learn that remote and then turn the off and test the remote.

I haven't had to do it for a few years but it's listed in the owners manual too.

i yea i was thinking of my old eb, and it was the fuel not the boot.
