hey guys,
the screen of my climate control bulb died a while back and a day off today (birthday yay) gave me an oppurtunity to replace all the globes i needed, although with this one, I found that it just wouldn't light, new globe and all, so i've spliced it onto the other bulb wire for the climate control.
that was all fine and dandy until whilst trial fitting, I shorted it due to not taping the wire splice.
my problem now is that even with new globes, the climate control will not light up at all, and as I later learnt, i have no heat, the buttons are all working fine, just no heat coming out, only cold. I suspect a fuse but fuse box fuses are all fine, and i can't seem to find the climate control fuse, any help would be appreciated.
oh it's an EL Fairmont. jsutfor clarity.

There's a fuse for it in the fuse box lol. it's called "AUTO CC" Replace that and let us know how you go.

it's a 10Amp fuse, i checked it, t was fin, although i changed it anyway, still not luck.
could it be the whole thing has packed it in?
and if I am to replace it, will an EF one do, or does it have to be EL?

even though they look exactly the same and everyone on ebay lists them for both models, someone here mentioned they work differently and arent compatible

however dont take that as gospel and get more advice first, but just letting you know before you go spend your money

I agree, I believe EF are different to EL. Borrow someone's and and swap them over, if it doesn't work, then something is wrong with the wiring. I might be taking mine out soon to replace the bulb ;).
