I know i've already asked this. but i need to know again so a mate can accurately set the timing in his EB1. also what pins do you bridge on the plug near the booster with a LED test light to get the codes. plus does anyone have the codes list?

i found it. it was for EB2 onwards. need EB1

Near the booster there is a single female blade terminal. Maybe on a pink wire. Can't quite remember but you need to earth it.
I have a male blade terminal with a long wire and aligator clip and earth it straight to the battery.
After you've done this start the car and don't touch it.
It will rev up to ~3k and drop nearly stall and repeat taking around 30 seconds to idle smoothly again. Then you have 3 minutes to set it.

i know there is a white with red trace wire you have to earth. but i can't remember which wires on the plug to bridge with a LED test light

Well you can tell you're mate how to put it in diag. To set his timing now.
I dunno about the codes man. Series 2 had some system to check them but I don't know about the series 1.
