I recently had a car accident, im ok but the car sadly isnt the airbags went off and car may or maynot be a writeoff, is it possible to get new airbag system? And anyone know much it will cost?? Want my baby back on the road asap.

If and I suppose big IF Ford still stock airbags for an EL, it would add $3500 to the repair bill.

I'd say write off straight up really.

However, I do have at home an undeployed driver and passenger airbag in Cappa colour that I'd love to sell.

The only way to get it done cheaply would be to find some second hand undeployed airbags.

But I also suppose, that since you were going more than 25km/h at the time, there might be alot of bent s**t and unbuyable parts in your front end.

Yeaa i would have imagined it would cost about that much to get another one. Yea i hit her more than 25km/h, hit her at 50-60, well major damage is hood folded radiator and fans gone and the radiator support plate is gone, lucky i hit a rav4 that my car went under hers, suprising that the front bumper was not smashed only scratched on top wen i went under. Yea i would have imagined it would be a write off wen airbags deployed, now maybe sourcing another fairmont ghia (cheap) and use it for parts on mine

Also have to remember that the majority of front end EL Fairmont/Ghia parts are long time NLA too. Repairs would come via second hand parts that are near impossible to find.

And a high chance you would have rooted the rails.

So yeah, start looking for another one.
