How do you replace a noisey lifter in the bf motor?
at idle it's rough what to look for, Ford keep saying should do a throttle body induction clean, so i did that and still the same, then the harmonic balancer was slipping so replaced that still the same, the car is now back to complete stock factory tune is back on but has been for a long long time, injectors are stock, intercooler is stock or should i say everything is stock no mods.
the car is soon to be clocking 240thou
6 speed auto gearbox is perfect, turbo is perfect, Motor is perfect not burning oil, not loosing coolant

also is it true that the ZF boxes don't require a service, when i asked ford about servicing the box this was then the car had 150thou k's they said DO NOT TOUCH, The ford tech said we will only touch the box when something is wrong in which your case yours is good

The lifters are ONLY supplied with the rocker arm @ $80.00 each. Do you use a genuine Oil filter or??

Ford DOES recommend that Auto's do not need to be serviced unless required but, that doesn't mean you have to take their advice. It might be an idea to change oil and filter to put your mind at rest.
