I am trying to find the coolant temp sensor (for the dash) in the engine bay
and cannot find one.. I see the one on the thermostat housing but thats for the ecu I am sure.. My temp gauge sits just above the big C and never moves when driving, of course it drops down when the car is off..I have checked my ellery's manual and can't find the location either.. Thanks in advance. |

Thanks for the reply, so apart from replacing that sender how can I test the gauge? Do I need a multimeter? Is there a way to test without one? Thanks again..
Update- Just replaced the temp sensor with new one $40 from autobarn and although the original one was quite black and grubby the new one hasn't made any difference to the gauge on the dash so I suspect the gauge is the culprit.. |

Put the dash into diagnostic mode, will give you the coolant temp reading in degrees.
