ATM I have stock speakers and a 12" sub with amp firing into cabin.

What i am looking into atm is to replace my stocks. I have the power cable running down the driver side and the Audio running down the passenger side.

I am looking at doing the whole upgrade, eg 4 speakers and a 2nd amp. When it comes to running the speaker output from amp to the front speakers should i go up the Passanger side or driver side? I want the least amount on introducd noise. So in the end i want 3 pair audio H/U to Amps, one 4GA cable batt to Amps (with power splitter linking 2x8GA), and the 2 pair OFC speaker wire running back to the front.

Second question, should i stick a basic model speaker in the back and spend more money on the fronts? eg splits. or just use the same 4 speakers though out?

dude put the outputs on the drivers side were teh other wires are
teh further away from the power cable the better. then again i have had speaker wire running next to my amp power cable with zero noise ......


also with the speakers if you are doign the whole shebang get 4 good quality speakers

Down the middle?? ive seen a couple where the power cable runs down the middle under the console, and the audio cables each side.

power shortest run possible to boot (drivers side)
audio away from power (passenger side)

i ran the power down the drivers side on the floor and then ran the speaker cable on the driver side however above the door frame. Just took the seal off and stuck the cable in the with a screw driver between the body and the interior plastic

as long as you are using good qaulity cable in both power and speaker it should be well sheilded. run them the shortest possible route. with the amount of power cable running around my speakers i should have interference but with blue harmony gold (big size) speaker cable i dont have any. my drivers door speaker cable runs around a second battery, a 2 ch amp, about 6 metres of 4ga pos and neg plus all the power wiring for neons, alarm and the main wiring loom in the front right kick panel. no probs. It also ran next a 240volt line and when that was plugged in never had interference either.

as for the speakers i would go all out on the fronts as thats where you sit, then put something in the back for rear fill, think about how often you sit in the back seat with someone else driving
