im running them on my EF
i got mine from www.tempetyres.com.au with my rims they are $50 each from them. i havnt had any problems with them and they open up the range heaps. Although i think u might need a bit of modification to fit 19's on. JETXR has 19's on his with hub adapters i think maybe get in contact with him.

Yes, there legal in NSW but spacers arnt, a spacer is like a washer, an adaptor adapts onto the exsisting hub, and has its own studs.. dunno bout the other states, EXPOSE has 20s on his EF with no troubles

In NSW I don't believe spacers or adaptor are legal. After having spoke to Tempe Tyres, they said the neither are legal unless you get an eng. cert. Have a look at this link to the RTA if you are interested.
http://www.rta.nsw.gov.au/registration/ ... 9_rev4.pdf Hope this helps. |

The main thing to check is that the track width doesn't change more than 25mm from the manufacturers specifications and in the case of adapters OR spacers that they are certified to comply with AUSTRALIAN DESIGN RULES there may be a case for inspection by an authorised examiner and a compliance plate issued to be affixed to the firewall.

I think you will find that spacers and/or adaptors are NOT legal in NSW, unless they are fitted as original equipement, or you have an engineers certificate. I have spoken to Tempe Tyres, and they say the same thing. They will fit them, but they are not legal, as does the RTA.
I'm not sure but I think you can only go 2" over the largest wheel fitted to that vehicle. eg. if the largest wheel factory fitted was a 16" then you can only go to 18". Just some food for thought. Also speak to your insurance company and get their advice. |
