i converted my el fairmont to manual with my old eb gear box etc, but it wont go into gear unless i wind the clutch cable all the way out on the fire wall, and i think it is making the clutch ride as a i just drive? any ideas?

- Bent clutch pedal pivot
- Broken pedal box
- Stretched cable
- Cracked firewall
- Bent clutch fork
- Rooted fork insulator
- Friction plate in around the wrong way

Anyone of the above could cause it. Check them out one by one.

It could even be the shim that goes under the fork to stop the bell housing from wearing out, they wear down, then the fork doesn't pivot correctly. I have had that problem before.
