hi guys
just finished replacing the 302 in my fairlame. apart from the timming cover to water pump gasket is knackered and seams to be spewin water i cant get her to fire. it will ignite every now and then & there is fuel going into her cos i can smell it when it starts to flood.

-1 are all 302w e series distributors the same? it came out of an efxr8 and went into my nf.
-2 with the 2 fuel lines running from the fuel rail does it matter what lines i conect it to running down the passenger side chassie?

im supose to be leavin for tassy on monday but me thinks i may be takin the misses car instead :(

any help would be ausom

update.... dam it would have been ausom to have the old girl going for tazzy but thems the brakes. I have posted a pick of the fuel lines if someone can tell me if this is correct. i have a few issues with the timing cover so that needs to be fixed. i did noticed one of the wires going from the coil to the dizzy had pushed out of the conector. once the timing cover is sorted and i can set top dead again im hopein she starts.

thanks guys

One is the main fuel line and one is the return line,

So what they said - make sure the line that goes to the filter is the one going "in" to the engine, the other is the return line. its important otherwise you wont get any fuel pressure.

Did you get the dizzy in right? - 180 degrees out might be close, but not

The 302w E Dizzys are the same. Sounds like timing, or you might have missed a connector?

The fuel line with the white clip connects to the passenger side fuel rail pipe, and the black one connects to driver side fuel rail pipe.
