hey guys i just installed a cold air intake pipe to the box in my EL xr8, my question is wish air filter would be better for performance, pod air filter or leave the new panel air filter in the box?

depends how your going to have the pod, sitting in the engine bay sucking up hot air or in the box, i still think a high flow panel filter would be better than a boxed pod tho

i had a pod just free without the box but all it did was make a good sound so i took it out today and put the box back n feed cold air from the lower bumper to it, i have the panel back in it for now but im not sure if its worth the trouble of trying to put on a pod.

Much of a muchness. Keep it stock looking with a new panel, spend your money elsewhere to make power if you need it.

I went 14.2@97mph in my AU with a Ryco paper filter in the stock airbox with the original snorkel. Stick with an airbox.

I'm another fan of the panel filter in the airbox. When my 347 is complete and running, I hope to test the difference between the stock airbox and a decent pod filter. I'll be aiming to extract as much out of my combo as possible, but am hoping I can retain the airbox.
