Has anyone tried this, just out of curiosity? I have no idea if it will fit. Obviously it is unnecessary - that is not the question. Just want to know if it's been done.

no one would have done i because the std v8 throttle body is the same size as the 6 cyl one..

but if you have the measurments between the holes on the v8 one i can compare it to a 6 cyl one??

and if you were to put a aftermarket bigger V8 one on you may as well just buy a aftermarket bigger 6 cylinder one

Bolt sizing etc is different.
It wont fit.
Me , TerroristGHIA and SWC checked this out when I was after a bigger throttle body for my 5.0 and the six cylinder 70mm ones were heaps cheaper then the V8 ones.
After comparing the 2 it was obvious it wouldnt work. From memory even the ISC is in a different position that wouldnt work.

Based on that fact my Mum is the best around!

Thats right Matt.

Could fit if you really wanted too but the modifications required would be much more in cost than buying a aftermarket throttle body to suit the 6cyl. Just not worth the hassle or the expense.

Thanks guys. It's pretty much what I expected. Just thought it might be worth asking for the sake of those who are running high performance setups. TB's for the I6 don't seem to be available any bigger than 69mm approx, whereas aftermarket stuff for the 5.0 goes bigger.
