Ive got a BF XR6 with premium sound however the 6 stack cd player is not working.
Ive got radio but when i go to load cds it says wait then switches back to radio.
Its mighty annoying.
So I pulled the ICC and then dismantled the CD module and found the problem.



Thats all it is...a bit of broken tape and Im thinking it cant be fixed very easily.

Ford want about $450 for a replacement ICC so if there is any way around that Id like to know.
If any ones got any ideas ill happily listen.
Just goes to show how small a part can stop something from working

BTW, they isn't tape, that is a printed circuit strap.

Yeah thats what I meant just didnt know what it was actually called.
Got in contact but they still want $450 for a full replacement ICC
