HI ALL IM THINKING OF PUTTING MY ED TO STRIGHT GAS BUT DONT KNOW ON WHAT SYSTEM TO USE OR I HAVE TO DO ANY WORK TO THE MOTOR TO DO IT

COULD I TAKE THE FUEL TANK OUT AND PUT A GAS TANK IN ITS PLACE ?

IM NEEDING HELP ON THE SUBJECT AS I HAVE NO IDEA

How much to you want to spend?
On the cheap you could fit a basic venturi system.
Or you could spend more and a vapour injection system.

On an ED, bang for buck go a simple impco L and an Impco 200 mixer with an apa tank and the best lock off you can afford.
Get it retuned for Gas and the ignition curve is slightly different and you will barely notice a power difference at all. You can get tanks to go where the original fuel tank is but there will be a bit of fiddling around since the usual place where brackets and kits have already been made up for it is behind the seat (in the boot).

If you're in Syd, I highly recommend Brian at Newgas in Taren point.

I've got the exact same thing, ie an ED on straight Gas and have had it like that for 6 years. Best damn car I've owned. Other than regular oil and filter changes, I have never added a drop of oil or water. Thing runs like a dream. Damn thing is butt ugly but because it drives faultlessly we just cant seem to get rid of the darn thing lol

Can I ask why you are recommending a mixer that has flow rating equivalent to a 38mm round hole venturi mixer ring?
An Impco 225 is closer to the money and not much more effort to fit.

Assuming it still has the log manifold, the 225 is what would be fitted.

lmao, because it's not like he's pushing 200 rwkw. The 200 mixer is more than enough and will support up to 160 rwkw easy.... hardly the power a standard ed makes
