I recently started converting my cluster into blue leds instead of using resistors and bulbs i just bought the plain led bulb and filed the ends out of the blue holders and soldered them.i rested them out of the car and they all worked but when i put them in the dash the top to lighting ons worked and the others blew very quickly i tried changimg them around and that but nothing worked any ideas?

When you put the bulbs in, they were in the wrong way. Most likely you have blown them and need to be replaced. If you replace them with new ones, make sure they are put in the right way. They are polarity dependant...so negative/positive need to be correct.

I've tried that and they still blow no matter what way I put them but il give it another go tonight cheers mate

If that's the case, then the bulbs you bought are not for the interior of the car. The whole point of soldering a resistor onto the LED is to reduce the voltage going to the bulb to stop it from blowing. So if you just got standard LED bulbs from an electronics store made for low voltage electronics, then they will definitely blow as soon as it sees 12Vs. So don't bother trying to put the standard LEDs into the dash.

If you have never done electronics, I suggest you buy yourself LED bulbs made for car interior which can withstand 12Vs, rather than soldering your own resistors to it.

Get good quality leds mate, i sell them on ebay and i have had no complaints
