My mate has just come around saying that the new au ute that he has bought leaks water into the footwell when it rains or when you pour water on it. After a bit of investigating we've sourced the leak to being when water is poured into the aircon inlets on the drivers side. Has anyone had this problem before and knows what it is or knows how to fix it? Any help would be great.

I had a similiar problem from my a/c but not from rain it was condensation, but it leaked from the same area, what I found was that there is a small drain hose on EF/EL's that comes out into the engine bay on P/S fairly low down that was blocked, might be worth a look!

I have an AUII xr6 ute an have the same problem, I never found the source of the leak... BUT I had to get the peddle set replaced and for some reason it doesn't do it anymore... Checkthe gromets for the clutch cables etc. I was told by my mechanic it could have possibly been them.

nasty. Looks like I'll be pulling the top panel off mine on the weekend...
I never got the shifter/console support when I got my manual conversion, I realised that that hole in the trans tunnel has the potential to a: make you're ride sound like a v8 supercar, and b: let alot of water into the cab which ends up on the floor. At least I hope that was the problem. I thought that problem died with the xf's....
