hello i was just wondering if i get a wade 1673 or 977b cam what head work if any would i have to do? it has tickford head if that helps. i was told i had to replace rockers, lifters, springs etc but i thought thats only if ya get a really rough cam.

both the 1673 and 977b will work without head work or h/d springs...

you will get more power if you do head work, but its not nessesary.
the only thing needed is a second set of lifter shims..

If you're interested I have a crow cam from my ea/el i'm willing to part with. comes with vernier gear. I was told by crow cams it was the biggest cam available at the time without changing any other gear like valve springs or getting the computer recalibrated.
Beauty of this cam is it's a billet cam and doesn't need another set of lifter shims to operate.

ok cheers, would i have to adjust anythin on the head or touch any timing or anything like that? or do i just chuck the cam in and thats it??
