Hello all.
I'm thinking on installing a Falcon RTV diff into my EL. My questions are: 1) Will the diff go straight in or will i need to do some moding to make it fit ? .. 2) How is the locking mechanism activated, air locker or mechanical ? .. 3) Can the RTV diff handle 400+ ph in lock ? Thanks fellers for any advice & info you can give. Rodney |

Firstly is the EL a sedan, wagon , ute ? as utes and wags have leaf spring rears whereas sedans have coils I would think!

RTV is leaf sprung, the E-series sedans are all live axle coil sprung. Your best bet would be to fit the RTV center to the EL diff and run the EL axles with fresh bearings and oil change... assuming of course they run the same main carrier pattern and spacing.

It's an EL Sedan.
Yeah, i like the idea of swaping the diff centers and just renew all bearings. I'll try find out if they swap right over. Thanks fellas |

Off set is different on the RTV diff to E series and as had been said better to change the centre over if the carriers are the same.

wont work as the carriers arent the same the rtv centres are the same as the ba/fg xr8 xr6turbo dana centers much bigger and run 31 spline axles

There you go. You could always weld the shock points as well as the spring carriers if you are keen. ut the offset is still AU upwards.
