Be sure to get the Hybrid EL stock and XR cams.

Unfortunately I'm currently using mine, until I can get a straight answer from someone who can tell me that they've found a performance cam that works (and improves) the Hybrid I6.

The profilling process doesnt take very long, but I do need the cam out of the car. We could do it in a day and then you would have specific answers to your questions.

To give you some indication. It would take about an hour to get the cam out and set it up, it takes about half an hour to profile the cam(data is read then entered in to a program), then back in again. Whilst we have your cam out we can also fit new HLA seals if you like. This is just a suggestion but let me know if your interested.

Any one wanting details regarding the cams that I have already done, just PM me and I will email a complete report on lift vs duration values and graphs showing this data in easy to read format

So can you design your own cams? I mean if you get the scan of a hybrid cam, can you then say to your computer, make me a better one (eg. mroe torque, more high-end), and it'll spit out the design for a new one.

Also, I'd be willing to help out if I could get a new (better) cam in.

What do you mean by HLA seals? They valve seals, or something else?

Yes I do have a program that can do that for me, and yes I can design a higher performance cam for your car. Antony and I from Alted Performance are currently finishing off our stage one cam ready for production which will suit E series 4ltr's, but we want to cater for most areas of the I6 4ltr market. Although I can produce a theoretical cam for your car, actually producing the product isnt that easy. We will need to get a master profile ground which is a fairly costly process. With this in mind though, it will benifit all "Hybrid Owners" looking for a cam upgrade. The first step of the process is to establish what the characteristics of your original cam are, and I will work from there. I hope we can help you.
