Hi there,

I'm trying to install a trip computer in my EF.

I've noticed the wiring harness for the EF is missing the metel connectors inside the harness (Pins 1, 6, & 7). No metal for the trip computer to make contact.

a) Is it still possible to still buy these small gold connectors & place inside the harness? or

b) Can I solder a wire directly onto pin 1, 6, & 7 on the trip computer?

I didn't receive a harness with the trip computer.

Any help would be great.

The way I did it was get the proper harness from the wreckers so the pins are all there then cut the old one off and solder the new one on.then the only pin you have to insert is the data feed line into the cluster plug.
