I have an AU1 and want to convert to au2+ brake's
can i use BA stub axles and sway bar/mounts ? or do i specifically need au2/3 gear ? |

Well, you can use the stub axles from a BA, they are all the same from AUII to BF as are the lower control arms, you will need to cnage them as they have an extra bracket for the sway bar links. Might be an idea to run the BA front brake setup and if you want to do a GOOD job, change the Booster and M/Cyl and you might even think about doing the Rears and putting BA ones there also. I have an XR6 series I and I changed the lower control arms, stub axles and sway bar which YOU will also have to do. I am waiting for warmer weather to change the booster, M/Cyl and the rear brakes. You can use the rear brakes setup from a BA Wagon or Ute. You will need the backing plates as well as calipers and discs. |

Ifr you only have 15 inch rims fitted then yes you would have to go to 16's....

I was quite surprised, it was like 2000, 2001 model so I didn't expect it to e a s1 but it was by compliance plate. alloys being thicker generally are more likely to hit.
