I have moved over to WA for a few months work and my NSW rego is due on my XH ute. The local mechanics will do a vehicle check that I can use to renew my NSW rego and gave me a list of the things that will be checked. I've made a few basic mods to the ute and I have no idea how particular people are in WA with the check. Given some of the pieces of crap I see on the street I would think not very, but I know the checks are not regular like the yearly one in NSW. I was hoping someone would be able to let me know which bits might be fail points. From what I can see:
- I have no mudguards.
- The taillights have a single tint coat
- The gear knob has no markings (like anyone uses them)
- I have Roh RT 17s with 225/50 (front) and 245/45 (rear) tyres
- The front tyres have a few nicks in the outer edge from the top of the guard and bad NSW roads
- It is lowered with King low front springs and reset standard rear leaves (clearance is about 170mm)
- It was originally the tradesman option
- There is a crack in the lower left corner in the windscreen (behind the rego label)
If anyone can shed some light it would be great as I don't really want to be in and out for days and spending heaps trying to get this done. Thanks.
