Are you going to be adding the oil pressure sensor and coolant sensor switch?

Oh forgot to ask this, can I add the cruise control module? I'm going to miss that feature!

You only need to replace the switch with a sender with Cluster upgrades.
I have a few police clusters for those interested.

Yes, Cruise can be added to all EF/EL's
iirc all EL's have ABS, and EF GLi it was an option. (correct me if I'm wrong)

If your car has ABS, Then you'll have a 'complete' engine electrics loom, Its as simple as adding the module, brake master cylinder switch, blanking plug (behind fuse panel) and the cruise buttons.

What's involved in fitting cruise control to a Non ABS equipped GLi?

Some EL's were optioned without ABS, and there's a tech doco on Fordmods that shows how to add it, weather you have ABS or not http://www.fordmods.com/documents.php?d=11

Aha!! Thanks Gab. I thought that if the car never had ABS you couldn't add cruise without MAJOR rewiring. That clears it up for me.

For cars without ABS, you could (back then) purchase a partial loom.
It required a slice in the main loom gromet and to be tapped into the existing dashboard loom.

It sounds off-putting but its really just an hours work.
