hey guys my old nf v8 lane is having a few issues
my mate brought it of me about 6-9 months ago
and last weekend we took the boot off so we could repaint it and the spoiler

and now after a little rain over the past week the door locks wont work nor dose the boot or petrol cap
ive found the fuse keeps blowing and if i put a larger fuse in it blows the 40A BATT fuse under the bonnet
even if i unplug the boot from the harness

and the interior lights are staying on too

can anyone please help my mate needs to lock his car

ok guys dont worry the problem is fixed
dont ask how as i have no idea.
went around his place today to fix it and all we did was put a new fuse in and everything is now working perfectly
without changing a thing???????????
so i still have no idea what was wrong why it was blowing the fuse or what was causing the interior light to stay on.

If NF wiring is anything like EBII wiring, my guess is that when you had the boot lid off in the rain, water got into the interior lamp connector that is right next to the drivers side boot hinge. This may have shorted out the courtesy lamp circuit.

Leaving it for the day probably let the water dry out.

Don't quote me though :D

Edit: Re-read the first post. Wasn't raining with the boot off. But water could have got into the circuit somewhere and dried out.
