Well, the car is up to its old tricks.

This morning its back to square one. kingyxr8, I also have a new fuel filter.

This is f$%cked. I have no idea what it could be now. The only real thing I can be certain of is that it happens in the morning ,which means the car is dead cold. Other than that and once its started, it will run fine throughout the day. Unless I leave it for an extended period of time.

thanks all

where abouts in sydney are you and i may be able to pop down tomorrow or sunday and have a look to try to figure it out

Cheers

Tony

Thanks uni,

I filled up tonight and threw in some injector cleaner, as mentioned in your thread. I have a new fuel pump so hopefully that does the trick

Sorry to bump up and older post now but the car will not start at all now.

Went out on friday morning and it would just sit there cranking and not fire up at all. It's down with my mechanic now, he'll take a look first thing monday.

Thought I would update you all when it is fixed so the problem is resolved for future reference.

Thanks guys- hope its not 2 expensive

Hi, not sure if you have fixed it yet, but i bought a futura off a mate which had stopped working suddenly, hence why I bought it. I tried the BCM first but no avail then the crank angle sensor and she fired up straight away, give the CAS a go cos the ef has no dizzy it is common for these to go with age.

Patty, have you solved this issue. Very interested to know the results. As you've said, for reference.

I realise this was last year some time but I forgot to post up the solution to this. I havent been on the forums in a while.

In my particular case it was the Crank Angle Sensor. Took my mechanic a while to find it but she's starting well now :)

Apologies on bumping an old post but it will probably be helpful to people.

Thanks again for your help, glad I finally got this sorted!
