The old ducks 07 BF XR6 makes two knocking noises which happen almost simultaneously when she accelerates from a standing start (Traffic lights etc)
She is not a drag racer by any means either so it is on a normal takeoff.. To me it sounds like it is coming from the rear of the car... What could it be? Ford can't find anything wrong with it... Cheers Alan

Get the diff bushes checked out.

And also the rear sway bar links, they have a bush in them, that wears and the rubber bush in the lower rear control arm wears out too. You might also like to check the bush at the front of the trailing arms.

no i havent tried those options, but there was no post after to state that any of those were actually the problem, so i was just wondering which one of those actually fixed it, sorry.......

knocking on takeoff is a common problem in the B-series
rear end/diff bushes are almost always the culprit |

ohh ok thanks for the help every time ive put it in for a service they havent been able to fix it, but ill tell them to replace that and cop the bill on the other end :/ haha
