hi all ive got an el gli with a hi series dash (oil pressure and charging volts) also it has abs the car cranks but no fire the crt lp fuse always blows when i put one in. no smart lock light flashing the crt lp fuse makes it work i know that tried taking all the lights out of the car dont know what else to do im gessing its in the boot cause it leaks and had heavy rain i put some tyres in my boot today in doing so i riped the o/s speaker cables the radio does not work any more any answers?

hi

check everything thats on the interior light fuse, maybe unplug everything (may have to take some trims off) on that circuit and plug them all back in till the fuse blows again, then you should find the problem, maybe fix the speaker wires that got damanged and anything in the boot that has moisture

T car will not start without an interior light and CRT LMP fuse....

i will ive unpluged most lights ect i had an elect look at it he said is the coil & crank angle sensor im like dude it immobilised thats y hlthr injectors and coil arnt pulsing plus the smart lock isnt flashing

I had a similar issue with my EL GLi. .I went threw and changed the BCM, ECU, plugs, leads anything I could think of and in the end I found 1 plug in the engine bay near the head lights that was dirty and after a clean the car fired up.

which side mate and was ur crt lp fuse blowing and sparking when u put one in

checked all the fuses there all fine bar crt lp all the lights removed only thing i can think of is the radio needs to be balanced eg. all the speaker connected properly

it ended being my radio fried it self causing the short
