My fairmont every now and then upon start up idle high then once put in gear run rough as then conk out
Also it does happen whilst driving along, will shudder run rough then die, or just dies unexpectedly
where is this problem comming from, one mechanic said there were some fault codes in the comp relating to this, cleared the comp and said it may be the throttle body.
Any other ideas

Sounds like you have a bit of carbon build-up in the throttle body and or the ISC. (more likely isc). Just take it off and give it a bit of a clean with carby cleaner. Give the throttle body a bit of a clean as well.

cleaned the throttle body 6 months ago when the problem first started, didnt help at all

My BFII XR6T does the same thing Ford have taken the car for over a week and still they cant find anything wrong

The only think I can think of is that it doesnt like e85 fuel when its hot?
