OK, firstly, no need to change any button colour. The blue LED's shine through and light them blue from behind.

There is this ongoing theory that ALL dashes have white LED's, and the buttons and backing paper is either green, white or blue. Let me state THIS IS NOT THE CASE!

ALL systems have clear buttons and backing paper. The LED's are what colours them. (and yes I know because I have now done several on base XT's, another Fairmont and a Fairlane (he wanted red for some reason.)

Only mod was the LED replacement itself.

GT dash cost 225 big ones, and there is no need to recalibrate it. It's a bolt in part, and the spedo even recalibrates itself (base are 220 km/h, GT's are 270 km/h.)

Only thing required was the ICC reprogramming for the security code. As I used my existing BEM there was no key or remote programming either.

And the guy's at Ford were only to happy to do it. They were amazed I had changed the LED's over and wanted to see it for themselves.

They only had one question..... "Where do I get it done at?"
