hey guys,
my el fairmont needed a new motor due to various reasons I have posted on here before, so I go to the wrecker and get a replacement motor and all he had was a XH engine which he and I thought was fine apart from the manifold differences. upon swapping all my ancillaries over to the new replacement motor I notice the air compressor doesn't go where it did on the el motor due to the dizzy facing the front of the motor and the wiring loom coming out of the plug hole therefor the compressor doesn't fit, so I check out my xg pedovan and find that it has a compressor bracket which holds it and positions it lower, do I just get one of these and will everything be gravy? thanks guys brad |

Blocks are the same (very similar)
Remove the AC bracket, and install the EL Compressor. The Dissy and the AC are in different locations to fit the serpentine belt setup with the Log manifold. The mounting points are the same.

Thanks for the reply Krytox.
Yeah they are the same, but the where the loom plugs into the dizzy stops this? I can get photos if it makes it easier to understand. |

If your using your EL Loom, in your EL. Simply place the engine in TDC position, remove the distributor rotate the gear and refit. after a few goes you'll get TDC on the distributor and the loom will reach the TFI plug on it.
