This type of system runs a close loop set up, which means that it probley has a idle stepper in the vapour hose, take it to a competent gas mech & ask him to check the stepper cycle ...... also the idle jet in the convertor has alway been a problem due to our poor quality of LPG... the idle jet is located under the convertor lock solinode, DON'T try to do this your self as its under pressure... tank must be turned off & purged before playing with the convertor. Hope this helps!

I would trend to suspect the idle jet too. It can be looked at if you are carefull. It is operated by an electromagnet, and is usualy (on tickford) the little black square box on top of the converter. undo the "e" clip, and then you lift off the black box. then undo the bolt revealed. Be carefull tho' cos there is a spring underneath it. remove the spring, and the jet is revealed. I then get a bit of very fine wire, and poke it thru' the jet.

DO NOT turn the engine/ignition on unless you disconnect the lock off valve at the converter from the electrics!!!!!!!!!

and DON'T SMOKE!!!!!!!!while playing with it!!!!!! (the converter that is :D )

Hi i would suggest if you have replaced the plugs and leads and that made no difference, then its possible that the lpg filter is clogged up and possibly buggered because of the gas that you have been using.

I personally recommend BP autogas, and then take your car to a gas mechanic and tell him to check all the gas lines (for leaks) check the gas filter and replace it if it needs to be done.

My XR is much the same however it doesnt stall, it just labours when you go to accelerate after comming to a full stop..

Good luck
