Hi all, this ones got me a tap stumped,
girlfriend purchased ef fairmont ghia straight 6 on petrol, nice clean car...only thing its missing big time.

I've purchased new plugs, leads and coil pack, and is still missing.

Really notice is on idle and taking off.

not using water.

apart from the obvious head gasket leak, is there anything else?

**another werid thing, when it first starts up, the thermos come on and the heat goes right up (beeps a bit) then drops back to normal, only happens once on start up

looks like you have checked the ignition side of things....
look at your fuel system too, injectors, fuel filter etc
