Hi guys,
Well I got my subs done, running 2 off a monoblock. It was my birthday, and got a pair of 180w and 280 splits along with a 4ch amp. I have a 4 gauge wiring kit, is there anything else I need for the install due to there already being 1 amp running 2 subs? Cheers |

Nice score, should sound good!
What power is the MonoBlock and what wiring do you have running to it already? Depending on what you already have, you could either run a distribution block to both amps off a single run from the battery, or use the 4g wiring as a second run for the mono or 4 channel. I would suggest at least 4 gauge for any Mono up to 1500W RMS, over that your looking at 0 Guage and need the battery power to back it up....so if your Mono is already wired up ok, use the 4 Gauge as a second run... Make sure EVERYTHING is fused properly, nice and close to the battery |

Cheers mate,
Subs (900w/300rms) are running off a 1200w/600rms mono. So all up I'll have 2 subs, 2 amps, 1 set of splits, 1 pair of 2 ways. So I'm looking at doing the 2 sets of speakers and adding the new 4 channel. Is there anything extra I should be adding to do this? Or do I just need wiring? Cheers for the reply bud. |

Sorry for the late reply, been travelling for work...
Yeah mate, sounds like you have it all covered....Have you got 4 Gauge to your Mono already? Another run of 4 gauge wont hurt...it all helps feed nice power to the amps Also, how many RCA's are running off your head unit? Ideally 3 sets so you can tune it nicely off the head unit for SQ...but you can still tune it nicely off the amps and using high/low level converters |

Hey mate, yeah the current wiring is 4 gauge.
Not sure how many RCA's my h/u is but it's a http://www.clarion.com/au/en/products/2 ... 21640.html And I don't see anything about RCA's? Cheers for the reply mate! |

ok, looks like you have one set of RCA's for your 4 channel (may have to get splitters into the 4 channel to run your front stage and rear fill), and another sub output RCA for your mono.
Should be pretty easy to hook up...plus all 4 gauge, will sound good |
