Hi guys,

Just a quick question, how hard is it to change the bulb for the gear selector on an el falcon. Searched forum but there only seems to be few words, which doesn't really help people who know next to nothing.

Cheers guys hoping this is a quick and easy fix.

Easy, T10 bulb. Remove your gear knob and lift up the selector surround. Bulb is in a twist type fitting in the selector surround.

When you lift the selector surround do the following,

1) Move selector to 2nd or 1st

2) prise end closest to dash up. Only that end will come up as part of the selector that slides will be under the consol (closest to your cup holder)

3) while holding up selector at the end that you have prised up, move the selector froward to Reverse, you may need to go the park.

4) lift up the selector as the slide will have moved forward allowing you to lift up the rear.

5) no need to lift selector right off as the bulb holder untwists and then you can ghange the bulb.

You will need to leave the shift rod in the selector stem and depress it so that you can move the selector.
