I'm new to the forum and thought i could share my project with everyone.

i just bought this car for $450 purly to fix it and turbo charge it.

the car had noisy lifters pulled the rocker cover off and timing gear just to find a lifter upside down so i cleaned all the lifters and put them back and the car went back to being silent.

now the turbo stuff.

i bought..

T70 turbo(oil lines and accessories etc etc

38mm wastegate 6psi spring
12.1 fuel reg
intercooler piping and 300 x 450 intercooler
2 bar map sensor
programmed j3 chip from Jason @ Ti

modified standard manifold

I put most of it together last weekend didnt get to the intercooler yet althought i got the car running by piping it from turbo to intake manifold for know till this weekend coming.

but my luck turned around and i took the car around the block and the head gasket blew straight out of all the water jackets lucky enough though i didnt hydrolic lock the engine and switched it off as soon as it started missing.

so now im getting the head grinded to lower compression and an au gasket! unless anybody else can suggest another way to make the standard engine to cope with the boost???
