so its been exactly a million years since i posted here, been busy with houses, other cars and a baby. also xtrail is gone and i now own a nissan stagea. since i posted last ive fitted an ED xr6 LSD which is tight as hell, slotted rotors all round and i did paint my cluster in glow in the dark coloured paints and fitted UV bulbs which turned out well but ive since scored a high series cluster and ducktail wing to complete my mock-up/clone. ive relocated the coil, fitted all new brass welch plugs, and painted the block in hi temp enamel. i also put the spacers back on because i came into owner ship of some 19" speedy graphites in AU offset. yesterday i finally fitted my ED tickford head with an AU MLS gasket. heres some pics:

^still need to clean off the tape and paint the door mouldings

^afew of my beasts and new garage

^deck cleaned and block painted (if you look close you can see where i spliced into make my old external trans cooler into a power steering cooler
Image
^head machined, pretty much level with inlet valve, coupled with the AU MLS gasket shes guna be hi comp

as it sits today, im hunting for extractors also

well i tried to buy parts from ford but they had nothing instock, so i bought s**t from the head reco guys in town. for new inlet gasket and veranda seal (timing case to head) was $20. i just used some sealant in the corners to hold the seal in place and blobs at the ends of the seal. heaps of people said to me why bother just fill the groove up with sealant and she'll be right but i wanted to do it properly.
