Does anyone know if it is possible to convert the conventinal air mixed dedicated LPG system into direct injected system?
I hear there are many benefits with direct injection, more power, lower consumption, no backfiring in the air filter box. I am thinking of converting my BA dedicated LPG. |

Never seen a direct injection LPG setup.
But i'm assuming you are talking about multi point vapour injection. If you have an Egas falcon then the short answer is no you can't. The long answer is, The injection systems use the petrol injector pulse to work out what LPG injector pules is needed. Obviously an Egas falcon doesn't a petrol system and hence no petrol injector pulse. Secondly, vehicles built 2004 on are required to use an emission certified kit. The only certified gear for the Egas falcon is the factory fitted parts. Simply fitting a non standard converter means the car would be in breach of the Australian Standard.. |
