That all depends on what springs you get (Lows, Super Lows or Ultra Lows). I think the lows drop the car 50mm (2 inches) lower.

I've got super lows on shortened monroe shocks and the ride is pretty s**t but it doesn't really bother me. Depends if you can tolerate a rough ride for looks, if you can't then go lows. What size wheels you got because that can contribute to the ride too.

my insurance will only let me lower my car buy 3cm... what springs should i get...? will i have to get different shockers (i think stocks fine because im not dumping it...) and how hard is it to change the springs... helped a mate raise his patrol but thats fairly different to lowering an AU...

King Lows is your max, they will drop it buy around 2 inches by the time the car settles with them which is too much anyway. If you have a work shop manual it explains how to chnage springs, backs probably take around 10 to 30 mins a side depending on your knowledge, and front about 15 to 45 a side because theres obviously a bit more mucking around. It all depends on your knowledge and experience. You won't need to worry about shockers, stock are fine for 3cm ash
