hi all i was interested in reading through that no one uses the auto setting on the auto climate control.. dose anyone know what resistor could be put in place of the sensor to trick it into thinking it was always cold in the cabin? after having 4 cars with the auto climate and not one of them working, best iv had was 17 degrees from the heater tried all the tricks and tips on here and see that alot have replaced the sensors 2,3 or 4 times and made no difference then i thought id get rid of the sensor all together
also my air compressor runs all the time so iv had to disconnect the tx lines to get lukewarm air out of the vents

E3 code is blend door error. I have the same problem in my EL ghia. you have to take the dash out to replace the motor. If you are willing to stuff around with resistors etc maybe try replacing the motor.

Blend door is E2, not E3.

Using the "technical documents" link available from the "resources" link at the top of the page shows that E3 is the cabin temperature sensor.
