I bought an ED Momo wheel a couple of days ago, arrived today, i got it at a good price because the guy said he had cut the cruise control wires, which is fine as i can just get another set of those...however, what he didn't mention was that he also cut the wires that come out from the side horn pads (didn't know they even had them!)

What i'm wondering is, how do these connect up to the other wires, and if someone with one of these wheels could take some pics to show me how it should look in it's unmolested form, that would be greatly appeciated.

The pic's are s**t as my 5mp phone broke so having to use my budget one.

In some of the pic's im not sure if you can make out the wires that are cut.

WOW I must say what the f**k. who cuts it so close to the end?

any way you can pleal the sides up?

These things are worth something so maybe take it to a trimmer and see if they can remove the area were the button would sitt, find a replace ment button system or see if you can do something with wires and once a fix is down get it re trimmed...

Thats what i was thinking mate, more to the point, why cut them at all?! I spotted it on this guys production saloon and bought it off him, god knows why the hell he bothered to cut the switches!

The pic showing that switch is the best of the two, the other one is just about flush with the trim.

Good thing i have a friend in the trimming industry, he restored the DU LTD woodgrain/leather one for me a couple of weeks ago, but i plan on keeping this ED wheel, getting harder and harder to find, couldn't believe my luck when he agreed to sell it to me! Just a shame about the wireing.

And yes, there are small trim flaps that can be lifted up, although i think i will leave that to the trimmer, i always thinking diy is a good thing, until you get halfway through it and realise maybe it wasn't lol. The rest of the wheel is in great nick.

Pretty much lol. Or think it looks/works great until you look at it the next day once you've had a rest, and go "f**k, that ain't right at all"

I would use the std cruise wheel wiring as a template and just rebuild the wiring from that. It is not overly complicated. The only real difference is the additional horn buttons.

Was thinking that too, pretty sure i have the wiring diagram lying around in "My Documents" somewhere. The boss kit has a plastic plug that they all must plug into, i have an unmolested one currently bolted up to my wood grain momo that's on the car, i still need to wire up the horn button for that one so I'll do a swapsies seeing this boss is already cut up.

I was just hoping someone would have a picture of what the thing looks like when it's all wired up from factory.

Bit of a thread mine (proof that the search function works)......

Mason, did you ever find a diagram or anything for the cruise wheel wiring?
