Hello,
I'd like to know if the metal pan of the driver's seat is repairable.

I have noticed the base of my seat kep moving each time you sit down and bit uncomfortable. Went to wrecker and opicked up another seat but not as good.

Anyway I was thinking of welding the cracks...I don't know if the metal is cheap Stainless Steel as it does rust abit or some type of tin (sheet metal)

Any advice on these would be welcome.

Why not just use the base pan off the wreckers seat on your seat?

If you are going to the effort of welding it atleast use a large load bearing style washer and brace all four points very common weak point.
lastly I'd be pretty sure there just a cheap mild steel.

Yeah, the problem is the seat came from a Ute and it's too high. I keep hitting my head on the ceiling even getting into the vehicle.

Never had that problem with original seat.

Being a seat from the ute, the frame is slightly different as in having a protrusion at the rear.

Seat is alos hard as a rock in comparison. Hence going top weld original pan.

I would never have expected metal fatigue would have been the cause
