Dunno might be a bit of a folk law I recon I turn one upside down just to see if it would still work. Didn't hurt it. It still worked.

Yeah I'm with you Slo... There is a sticker on top that sat not to rotate it upside down, but I just think thats something from the factory so pinheads dont f**k with them while working on them. But 93EB might be right, it's the only part i haven't had in pieces... Doesn't seem it could be anything else.. It's like saying if you turn your laptop upside down it wont work anymore...

If anyone knows for sure why, i'd love to know. Wheres data _mine or aumatt. Surely they would know...

Hahaha, must have been really digging at you hey, dying to find out!

lol. this is the first bit of real world testing ive heard of. id do it myself if i had a spare icc too.

Only time ive heard of them not allowed to turn em upside dows was when they are gettin fitted in the factory. if they are rotated they are discarded without any testing done..

Wonder if anyone else is gonna try now? lol.

I believe i read somewhere on here that it only related to the 6 stack player, in that part of the stacker could get dislodged and not accept cd's or damage damage them or something. I've had my single disk icc on its side upside down etc... and still works fine.

Having your ICC in a million bits is so much fun!!!!
Just repainted mine again....

Make sure you slide that nice big White plug forward before you refit it!

Hey AU99,

Yeah this is unit number 3 in my ute and i always stripe them right back and clean everything.. Especially the new dual zone unit.. It was out of a smokers car and it was caked with ash! Looks like new now. :D

What do you mean about the white plug? I'm guessing you mean where the back of the unit plugs to the car when you slide it in... But have you had issues with it clipping together properly??

Cheers Paul.
