Hi all im new to the forum,

I think i have a problem with my 98 nl fairlane, its the oil pressure, but im not sure what to do. When i put my key in and turn to acc, all the other gauges rise up to where they should be but recently ive just noticied that my oil pressure light comes on and reads 0. But once i start the car the light goes off and the pressure goes back up to around from what i think is a notch 4 or 5. Is this somthing to worry about? As im an apprentice and dont have much $ :| All replys appreciated

Cheers lowlane98

thats normal..
the oil pressure is only when the engine is running, so engine off = no pressure..

again thats normal and nothing to worry about, its when the gauge drops and you loose pressure all together.

Could be a faulty sender causing this as well. was the case with mine.
