So i have a 4 day weekend coming up and thought seeing as i dont have to wok on other peoples s**t boxs i might work on my own.
anyway i was going to finally install my power windows. And before anyone askes yeah i have read the tech doco and just looking for extra info and clear some stuff up. Any my question is all about the wiring. So a little info about my car. 94 ED Futura Classic with factory cruise controle so i do have the power window loom (or at least some of it) The plug for the switch is there hidden away under my console. And the parts i have is Regs x4 Door skins & switches x2 (rear) Door loom x4 Still hunting for console & switches lol. So my understanding is, that it should be at least as simple and join 2 wires and the front is complete. True or false? Second is the rear. once again i have the door loom for the switch and reg. so i can use that loom and run it into the car (door part done), But what is the wiring like in the car it self. I know the doco says the rear section of the look is cut in the middle of the car. is it as simple as connect it to the new door loom or do i have to make a loom to run from rear to the front switches. And one more quicky. It says the wire required needs to be rated to 10amps. is this a minimum or recommended. If so what is the recommended amperage? Any help is greatly appreciated. Cheers. |
