Just got back from dropping some friends at a party, got work tomorrow, so I didn't stay there.

Anyways, cranked my heater up as it was a bit cold. Even after 30 minutes of driving, and the car was in normal operating temperature, the heater wasn't very warm, i mean it was defiantely warmer than the outside air and that, but not that warm really. Any ideas on what I start to check to find the problme?

how far up was the needle on the temp gauge?

it may me a partially blocked heater core not allowing full airflow through it

About midwayish, in the nromal zone, same area as it usually sits when i'm driving.
I'll pull out my manual thingo tomorrow and read up about the heater core.

also could be a faulty heater tap!

I had the same problem, this I wrote in a previous thread.

First thing I did was flushed out the heater core.
I did this by removing the heater tap, disconnecting the other heater hose and connecting an adaptor to the exit heater hose. The adaptor I made up to connect a water hose and a air line up together. Once in place I turned on the water and periodically blasted compressed air through the heater core.

Secondly I found that the heater tap that I had installed only a few months ago was not opening fully. I bent the actuating lever slightly so it is now fully open with no vacuum attached. After replacing everything I then refilled the cooling system and ran car up to operating temp. inserting a digital thermometer into the face level air vents with the CC set to 32deg, air temp reached 52 degrees, gotta be happy with that. I then lowered the CC set point to 16deg and the air temp at the air vents dropped down to 14 degrees.

I have a similar problem, when my "air flow" is set to "split" to both face and feet, by switching to one or the other I get hot air.

I've got a very similar problem too. The local Ford dealer got an E2 error out of the climate control display - said that indicated it needed a new blend door motor, lots of labour - removing dash etc and were happy for me to book it in for replacement. Only 1 slight problem - they wanted to charge me $950 parts & labour!! For that price I'll give it a go myself but would like to be sure E2 isn't something else before ordering parts & dismantling dash. Does anyone have access to a manual with error codes, or any advice? (no thermals is not an option for the whole family!)

This doc will give you the info on the codes

The blend door motor is about $200 to buy

This is why I looked elsewhere before jumping on the "blend door motor" wagon. Check everthing else first, go through the diagnostics and do your own check for error codes.
