Sorry if this is in the wrong section, not quite sure where to put it.

After seeing http://www.fordmods.com/documents.php?d=10 I'm looking at buying a pair of cornering lamps for my EL Fairmont.

Reading that document, he says the lamps are supposed to light up the applicable cornering lamp during and slightly after cancelling the indicator (and optionally light up both on high beam), however later on he mentions it lights up for approximately 5 seconds while the indicator is on.
I assume that last bit is a typo and is meant to say (switched) off.

Can anyone with an actual NF/NL/DF/DL/etc confirm how the cornering lamps actually operate? When they come on, how long they stay on for etc?

Also, while I can solder OK I'm not that good at reading what circuits/schematics are actually doing. Can anyone confirm that the schematic provided in the link actually operates the same/similar to how factory fitted cornering lamps operate?

They're wired to the indicator.

Separate supply in, Indicator trigger, indicator gets power, capacitor stores power and engages the relay, as the indicator turns on and off in like 1½ seconds it has time to recharge the cap, when the indicator turns off fore more than 5 seconds the cornering light turns off.

The circuitry is a little more advance that what I've just said, but essentially works the same way.

If you source a NF wreck, the delay relay is located behind each headlight and looks like a typical ford relay (fuel pump type.)
