Sounds ike you may have damaged the bearing at the bottom of the steering column, can sometimes happen if you drop the column down, and let the bearing take the weight, best is to eithier remove the column completely, or at least undo it from the firewall before you drop it down.

Put a second hand column in. Call Chris @ FTG. I had to do the same with my old EB.

If I remember well, you undo the clamp on the floor, and disconnect the electrics, then undo the clamp that holds it to the under side of the dash, and it should fall out-perhaps with a little persuasion!

Your steering column is rooted, get a new one.

Just get a new one. To take it out there will be a clip on the steering column, Near the pedals.
Then unplug all the plugs. It should pull out . If not you'll have to get right under the pedals and undo the plate . Then undo the clamp and take the whole thing out . The clamp is clamped onto a spline . I had to do this when I put in a new steering column, Then just tap it off the column. But it shouldn't be stuck on there . You will also have to swap ignition barrels . You'll have to drill into the security screws and use a ezy out to remove them. Then I replaced them with normal bolts. There could be an easier way of swapping ignition barrels but I'm not sure . I think you can program the new ignition barrel to your bcm . But you'll obviously need the key for the new barrel . Which most wreckers don't have .
